In the app once the scooter is connected it can be locked but if the scooter is turned off or you walk out of range the lock turns off

So if somebody tries to pull it forward, it will literally pull itself backwards when they're trying to pull it and put itself back in that position, but I still use a bike lock because some people. Could be so persistent They could probably pick it up and take it

It does not come with a chain lock though. Seeing as it weighs less than 50 lbs, you might want to invest in a chain lock for when your leaving it in public.
