• yes, it`s variable, but can be changed to not variable in Setup.

• Yes and yes. The TV remote controls the volume of audio sent to the headphone jack. TV speakers are muted when the jack is connected. Just tested with firmware version: V00.01.00a.G0909

• Hi Joey! Yes, you can control the volume with the remote. And the TV automatically mutes the internal speakers when it is connected to external speakers.
