Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ideally surround speakers should be placed at ear height to the sides of seating position. Do a google search for surround speaker placement. You'll get plenty of options. If you a forced to go with your original 8 ft location make sure you increse the volume level of the surround speakers. Follow instuctions on how to increase separately from system volume.
