Does this TV up convert non 4k programs to 4k null

Hi Hisense Customer, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 65U6HF. This TV supports 4K upscaling. However, the upscaling procedure doesn't transform a lower resolution into a higher one; it's more of an approximation. Consequently, an image upscaled to fit the pixel count of a TV screen won't resemble an image originally filmed in 4K.
