Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Hisense U8H was released far too early by Hisense with many forms of technical glitches and problems. Some of these problems can be corrected with "Firmware Updates" you must download. Other problems cannot be corrected. That is why I returned my U8H. For example, the initial problems with Netflix and Dobly Vision were corrected with Firmware Updates. This is no surprise, because Hisense said from the start that they promised to fix those particular problems with "Firmware Updates." Unfortunately, problems with "Stuttering" and "Macroblocking" and "Posterization" are problems that continue to exist with the U8H and reviews said from the start that there was never any promise from Hisense to fix those problems. Also, for some reason, all the manufacturers out there except TCL made it so their TV sets have "Two HDMI inputs with 120hz," but one of the two inputs with 120hz is the input that uses the eArc channel. This essentially wastes one of your 120hz inputs. The TCL Series 6 puts the eArc channel on a different input, which is the way it should be. This allows you to keep both of your 120hz inputs.

To get the best out of this thing requires a lot changing settings depending what you’re watching (YouTube streams, cable, high-def movies, gaming, etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can choose any of the presets for picture mode. Energy saving mode is ideal in most situations. Theater day mode is good for movie watching. If you need more brightness, go for Vivid or Standard.
