I personally didn’t think the “subwoofer” really added much so partially covering it wasn’t a big deal. I bought a Polk soundbar that sounds great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a very thick long arm that almost entirely covers the subwoofer. Even at loud settings it's almost no different than when it's in open air. I don't think it's the kind of sub woofer that is distorted much by walls or obstructions. The woofer on the Hisense more so gives the TV a stronger sound stage than a standard TV. It's not like the deep bass response a separate sub woofer would have.
