no because it has auto shutt off in case it tips over.

Extension cords can cause overheating based on the amperage rating and length of the extension cord. I suggest having a licensed electrician run power from the house to the camper via a line that can be connected or disconnected when required.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well the box does say "not" to connect it to a extension cord or to a power surge. It recommends for you to plug it into a "direct landline" into the wall. So yes the product can overheat and may cause a fire.
