“I set the desired temp at 70 but auto-start doesn't kick in unless it goes down to 68. It shows 68 and then 70 and 68 and stops when finally reaches 70. So why doesn't it auto-start when it goes down to 69? It never shows 69 degrees. Is that normal?”

Ive found that it kicks the heater on with a margin of two degrees difference in order to not kick on and off as much. I have no complaints. I like my rooms on the cooler side.
