It depends on the size of the garage. For a small to maybe medium sized garage gym this would be fine. For a large garage, you might want to get a propane heater.

It helps take the chill from our 480 sqft garage here in Western CO, making it more comfortable to work on projects. Works far better in our 150 sqft. enclosed patio.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The heater will not raise the temperature in the garage - the area is too big. I place it about 2-3 feet from me while I'm standing at my workbench. Takes the chill off. The unit is limited by the 15amp circuit in the garage (on "Hi", it draws 13.8A starting up which settles down to 12.7A). You'd need a bigger, 240V unit to make a dent in a big space or use a propane heater, but I don't want to leave the door open. I plan to place it close to my bike trainer using the oscillating feature.
