If you read the specs you would see that it is a 115v unit

No, it uses a standard wall plug (110v). I purchased a 12v unit before this one, and the 12v unit simply didn't put out anywhere near the amount of heat that this unit does.

According to the manual: it says the heater has a 120 volt polarized plug. It has a high and low setting of 750 watts or 1500 watts. There is a separate knob for what I believe is the fan speed. I did not see anything else about volts.
