I use it as a bedside fan. I like to sleep with white noise, and so it does not bother me. I find I do not need to set it on the highest speeds at night. I use the middle and lower speeds, and it works fine. But on its highest setting, it's definitely "present".

It does make some noise, but nothing like you would expect from a fan. It is pretty quiet.

Its not super silent but has a low-hum to it which actually works for me as it helps me sleep :D

As loud as CPU fan.. I hardly notice it. Not quite, but it is not loud either. It gets handy to me when I am on conference calls.
