No. I just use a can of compressed air. I unplug the fan, turn the fan around and you can see the workings thru a grate of sorts. I spray the dust off that way. Do not use anything else, i.e., a lubricant or water.

We recommend using a pipe cleaner, vacuum cleaner, flexible duster and or compressed air to gently remove the dust to clean between the grilled and the blades. We hope this information is helpful.
