• I don't know the exact weight but it is on the heavy side as vacuums go. You can take the attachments off if you want to, or leave them on the vacuum in their respective places.

• Attachments can be put aside. Put on floor setting the glide is easier.

• I would say weighs a little under average for a machine of this type. You can take all the tools off it when using it to make it a bit lighter. (I don't have the mechanical brush thing on there anyway as I don't have much use for it) All the attachments can be removed, but not the accordion tube that they attach to.
