yes it works on high pile soft carpet and low thin carpet as well. my shark sucked period! this one i love

With the height adjustment on it you'll be able to find the perfect height to get the job done without it shutting down on you. I'm using level 3 & 4 out of 5 height levels right now. This vacuum was also recommended by our carpet dealer because of the right type of power and height adjustment feature to clean well without runining the carpet fibers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Has an awesome drive belt and brush combination. Just raising the height adjustment should do the trick. Think the Shark is a non-mechanical drive, using the vacuum to turn the brush unit, a drop in air flow just stalls the brush.
