• There is only ONE monitor and it does come with HDMI cables. I have a new desktop and it connected very easily. I have a Dell desktop but I would imagine your HP would connect very easily as well.

• I'm not sure where you're seeing that this is two monitors. It's a single monitor that can connect either through the HDMI or VGA ports
