“While duplicating the display, the monitor displays in portrait orientation, even though my laptop screen is in landscape. How can I fix this? Note: It works well while extending the display and laptop also works fine with other monitors.”

You should be able to change the orientation for each monitor in the Windows display settings. It is under the Scale and Layout section of display settings. Make sure you are selecting the correct monitor first to change the settings on.
