• Hi, silver, and thanks for the question. Yes, it will work with a computer running Linux mint. And you can plug in external speakers into the headphone jack, provided the speakers have a 3.5mm plug.

• Yes, it will work with Linux. You can plug a "mini" plug to the sound output jack on the back of your computer (the one with the green color). The sound output doesn't involve the monitor.
