I just added 2 more 8GB sticks of ram. This PC came with 4 ram slots. 2 of the slots were empty and 2 were each occupied with a 8GB module. I ordered the extra 2x8GB from Amazon for $66.99. The photos below are of the added ram and Task Manager showing the added ram.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As one other person said, need to listen to people who actually know. I have had the computer for 3 weeks. YES you can add RAM, I added 2 8gb Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 3200mz, som32gb total. Runs at 3200mhz just by plugging in. Also, idle temps are 35-40 for CPU 40-45 GPU, in game like Battlefield V, CPU sits around 50-55, gpu never goes above 75. The machine is solid and and excellent value
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the bios is a mess. the hp motherboards are such a hassle to use. i sent mine back because the cpu fried my board from overheating. you can’t change fan curves or literally anything else including ram. there was a update to include something like XMP, but you have to buy the ram FROM hp. as their own version of 3rd party; otherwise it’ll run at 2133mhz
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The problem is that unless the information is from a reliable source, information you hear comes from people who don't actually know. Yes, you can replace the RAM with other memory and as long as it's the same speed and configuration as the current RAM there shouldn't be any difference in speed.
