You can try the Microsoft Office 365 trial on the laptop for 30 days. It would include Word for writing or creating recipes. Or you can use Publisher where you can create your recipes with pictures. There are templates available on both applications for recipes. Or you can buy the 1 year of Microsoft 365 Personal from Best Buy. Another recommendation would be the one time purchase of Microsoft Office Home and Student. The Home and Student edition would have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You would get the applications out of the Microsoft 365 edition such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
