You can actually upgrade to a bigger SSD. You need to purchase a clone software and an external SSD holder. USB c type - is faster transfer rate. The software will detect the new drive and windows as well . Just follow the instructions.

It is recommended that you make a recovery flash drive of Windows first, then copy any content you have to either another external drive or a cloud account before you change the drive. The new drive will not have any software, which means you will need to reinstall Windows from the recovery flash drive then reinstall any programs you have from their respective content providers. HP's warranty will not cover any damage from user-servicing or from non-HP-authorized components.
