Yes, you just plug it into your usb and it powers the headset.

It’s used for either ps4 or Pc and it is only required if you want to use 7.1 surround sound but you can use the 3.5 MM jack for mobile ps4 x box or anything that opts for it. I recommend using the USB for availability for 7.1 surround sound
