“When you tap to mute this mic, does it go dark just like the solid red HyperX QuadCast (non-S version)? It just say in the specs that you can easily check the led...but wondering if that could be small and not easily recognizable?”

Yes, when you tap the mute on top (just like the non S version) it’ll turn off the lights
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can actually have the LED turn off completely when live and turn on when muted. Some people like myself just don't want the LED to be on when gaming and streaming at the same time. That was the one thing that I couldn't get over with original QuadCast. The red LED simply wouldn't turn off when it was live and I had to throw on a pop filter to at least dim it a bit and have it not distract me while gaming and streaming.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yup it works just like the Red quad cast version. Mute would turn off the leds and they come right back to life. The RGB on this is really nice. Worth the extra $20
