This is also partially due to the GPS shortage right now. If you look on eBay or Amazon you will see that many GPUs are hundreds or even thousands of dollars. This is because there were a ton of people who wanted to get a GPU however the manufacturers are not able to swing up the manufacturing capacity in time. Also, there is a great demand for cheap use from cryptocurrency miners. which also greatly increased the demand for GPUs.
