I had a GTX 970 that fried and took the mother board with it. I was told that the GTX 1650 in this machine was a step down but I don't see a difference. Then again, I am not worried about refresh rates and a crap load of other details. If my games play, I am happy. I would suggest that you contact the Geek Squad directly and ask them the question. Nivida is known for giving their products higher numbers but when you compare the features you are actually getting less bang for your bucks.
