should be able to last 6 years for sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the two words are optimal versus serviceable. At the date of purchase, at this price point, the computer is optimal for today’s needs. At some point optimal goes to serviceable as technology changes. I am buying this computer to replace a PC I bought in 2008. 12 years ago it was optimal for any game I wanted to play. Today, it is serviceable. I can read email run a program or two together. If I add a third program, the computer starts getting whiny. I play World of Warcraft. If I play WOW with another program that is a bit of a hog, the Computer start showing it’s age. Let’s assume you’re young student is going to be using the computer primarily to be doing schoolwork with some gaming here and there. Should that be the case the computer will last him as long as he takes care of it. Six years would be no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is more than capable of lasting that long. In like 2-3 years or so it may not be able to totally max out some newer titles but it is more than serviceable and will provide plenty of enjoyment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this is one big thing abt pcs you have to swap motherboards at some time in i’d say 2 years if you keep it good but with all the new PC components coming out and at that rate in 6 years your pc will not be able to run the things it can run now if he is a gamer you’ll want to upgrade every other year or how you see fit but 6 years on a i5 processer that’s already pretty old to start with is not a ideal option
