Hello, One of the slots is utilizing the primary drive. The vacant slot is relatively close to the primary drive. The photos on the site are of no help. Plus, the srores usually don't have this model on display. I bought one of these for my mom and my daughter. When I set them up, I took a look at the motherboard for expandability. Note, when you power it on, go straight to the "about windows" section. You will see a message that states there is no license key applied. Click the "troubleshoot" button and reboot afterwards. The key will then be applied. Best Buy, for some reason, stores a copy of the key but doesn't provide it to the cistomers. You can download a key finder to reveal that Windows 11 key. Take a screenshot and print it and/or take a photo of it. Hope my information that I have provided is of use. C. Malone Fayetteville NC
