This PC is complete in the box, you do not install the CPU, everything is installed. If you want to upgrade the cooling system, thermal paste comes with the cooler upgrade. This unit has three fans in the front panel, one in the back. The top of the case is a grated panel that allows heat to escape naturally ... I don't believe heat would be a problem unless you stuff this unit in a cabinet or in a place where air can't circulate.
