No, you just plug your charger you already have into the back of the radio and you don't need anything special. It has a USB port in the back.

The connector hooks up to the newer iPad 3 and iPhone devices like the iPhone 6. If you have the older models, then you will need an adapter (easily obtainable). It also has a USB connector in the back, but you do not get all the iPhone features if you mount it that way.

No, it's built for iPads and iPhones with Lightning connectors. If you have a 30 pin iDevice, then you can plug the cable for that device in the available usb port.

This device is build with a Lightening plug (for the newer devices). If you have a device with a 30 pin adapter, or anything else that can be charged with a USB cord, there is a USB plug to charge those devices as well.
