Q: QuestionAfter 3+ weeks from the date I purchased a new car receiver from best buy I finally had it installed in mycar at Best . Car already had a backup camera. New stereo camera ready. Installer said he couldnt hook it up and gave no reason why. Is this normal

• A:Answer Depending on the connections that your factory OEM radio had to connect the original back up camera would depend on if an Autotech would be able to tie into that system. There would be extra labor, and time needed to complete this service, and possibly additional adapters required. I'd recommend calling to speak with the local Best Buy to discover what would be needed to get the camera working on your new stereo, but if you're not getting the help you're looking for, please call us over the phone at 1-800-GEEKSQUAD.

Q: QuestionI have a Samsung Model:HW-MS650/ZA - Sound+ 3-Channel Hi-Res Soundbar with Built-in Subwoofer and a NETGEAR WiFi Extender. Will the Geek Squad install those items although there were not purchased at Best Buy?

• A:Answer If a Geek Squad Autotech performed the originally installation, our lifetime labor warranty does offer free re-installation of the factory radio should you go to trade or sell your vehicle, but I don't see why we wouldn't be able to offer the replacement in these circumstances also. There are some exclusions that apply, but I'd like to invite you to call your local Best Buy to ask about securing a warranty appointment!

Q: QuestionI bought a Saturn all 00-05 din and ddin from best buy today also with a Saturn harness 00-05. I opened them but didn't use it i put it straight back into the bag I was wondering if I can return it tomorrow? Just bought today!

• A:Answer I faced the same issue recently. I suggest you go to the customer service desk at your nearest Best buy and explain the issue before setting up your installation appointment. Also take a screenshot where it shows free installation. Also don't be surprised if they sneak in some charges inspite of calling it a free installation. I suggest you also meet the installation team directly before the appointment to confirm if you have received all the parts required for the installation. Otherwise they will make you run from pillar to.post on the day of your appointment

• A:Answer I just bought a jvc double din radio online at best buy for $99 plus free install. The best choice ive made all year. It has all the works and is very loud. Bluetooth, pandora, iheart radio, apple radio, satelite radio, and multi color display change is awesome. It also has a USB with fast charging and 3.5 jack u can use as well. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase oh they have one with a cd player as well for $119.00 I don't use cd's anymore so dont need it. Hope this helps.......

Q: QuestionIs it standard practice for bestbuy techs to cut the factory harness in a brand new vehicle? Bought a new suv and had speakers and a powerpack installed in 2017 by bestbuy and when changing out the factory radio today, the tech said my harness was cut.

• A:Answer No it is not. They are supposed to use a wire harness to install a new radio. However, a wire harness is a set of pre-cut wires that plug into the vehicles existing harness. So if someone does not know what they are looking at it may look (at first glance) that wires have been cut when in fact they have not.
