I'm not sure how many, if any, refrigeratotors are meant for use in a garage in hot weather. However, I have had this unit operating in my garage for a few months and it is working very well. We have had a very warm winter this year in Florida. Foods we take from the freezer section have all been frozen solid. Food within the main compartment are cold, we have had nothing spoil at this point in time. We do tend to keep food moving from that unit to our main house unit on a regular basis.
