There’s a magnet included in the box, i use that to
Test if I can use the cookware., enamel Dutch oven is ok.

Put it on the burner it will work if there is steel in the cookware. Try putting a magnet on the cookware you want to use if magnet sticks you can use it if not it won't work. It won't turn on if right cookware is not used.

Get a magnet and if it sticks to the bottom of the pan then its good. Has to be magnetic to work.

No. You can only use pots and pans that a magnet will stick to.
