Totally normal. When the refrigerator cools your cans, it's moving heat from the cans to the outside of the unit. This fridge rejects heat through the outer shell where the warm surface creates air currents that sweep the heat away into the room. You'll find that the outside is warm when the compressor is running and a little cool when it's not.
