• If you plan on permantly installing this under a counter then yes you should have a front vented model. I personally keep mine under my bar with nothing obstructions to the ventilation on the sides and about 4 inches clear of the back, and I have had no temperature issues.

• yes you can you it for under counter but make sure that it has ventilation.
