“Brian of Insignia says that this fan does tilt. Other reviews say it doesn't, and still others say it tilts slightly. Could Brian please me much more specific? I want a fan that can tilt up fairly significantly.”

It can tilt, but not extreme angles. Say if it’s on the floor it can tilt up towards a person on a couch, but not upwards to person at a table height.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Brian, I own two of these fans, one is bright steel and the other is gunmetal, which is sort of brushed, doesn't shine brightly. It also doesn't seem to be as powerful as the steel finished fan, nor does it tilt. The steel one does tilt, but not as much as I'd like it to. But both fans are pretty powerful and quiet. I really like them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Both of my fans tilt. That big screw on the base can be loosened, allowing the fan head to move up and down. You'll have to allow the fan to oscillate sufficiently to reach the screw, then lock the head in place by depressing the knob on the top. Then you can reach the screw on the base. It's on there pretty tight, so be prepared.
