There’s no need to remove the door. It’s just a hair over 28 inches wide left to right. The door does have electronics in the digital readout and controls for freezer or refrigeration operation. This is a great one. I like it very much I would definitely buy it get the right price and you’re a winner.

Fridge is 28 1/4" wide so it will go through but like I said it's tight. U can remove door on fridge/freezer if u want and take it in sideways with more clearance to spare.
