This question and answer was generated by AI based on customer and product data.Q: QuestionThis is represented as a 140w charger, but the product label says that it delivers 100w max. When I plug it in to my Dell XPS 15, it indicates that it is connected to a slow charger, so it is indeed supplying 100w not 140w.
Asked by Jay343.
- A:Answer The 100W rating is when operating in PPS mode. When operating in PD mode, it can provide 28V at up to 5W = 140W. The XPS 15 appears to be unwilling to pull more than 100W from a non-Dell-branded power supply.

Q: QuestionCan it charge at 65W? For a Lenovo laptop
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Of course it can. It's a 140W charger, so it can handle most ratings below that. My Dell laptop wants 130W and it charged fine (until the charger stopped working entirely).

Q: QuestionSince it charges through the USB-C port, can it charge a laptop at 140 watts? Or just 100 watts?
Asked by Lynn.
- A:Answer It can charge at 140W if your laptop supports charging at 28V 5W from a third-party power supply. (According to reports, many Dell laptops limit power draw to 100W from non-Dell-branded chargers.)
