- Answer Though our adapter does output at 5V, the adapter is only capable of 1.3 A. Since the adapter does not provide the correct amperage, I would not recommend using it.

- Answer You will have to find out what type of voltage your satellite box requires. If the box requires 3V, 4.5V, 6V, 7.5V, 9V or 12V then this may work if one of the barrel connections fits. Best Buy does have a 15 day return period that would allow you to test the fit and return if it does not work. Firstly though you need to find out what voltage your satellite uses.
