The USB input signal is generic, the number of photos and display are dictated by your device. If I download some photos from my laptop to my 6 inch mobile, the mobile will display pics 2 side by side. I wouldn't expect 8 pics side by side as displayed on my laptop screen. I sometimes play with formatting options to share as a printout. Hope that helps.
