• The TV is 17 1/4” wide, 12” tall (with the stand) and diagonal screen is 18 1/2” As far as set up goes, you have it correct.

• The dimensions are listed under the Specifications section. Yes you can just plug the TV into a wall outlet and hook up your Cable/Satellite box to one of the HDMI inputs on the TV.
