“I plugged the TV in and want to be able to connect to nothing other than my laptop/phone for Netflix. I have a Chromecast. When I press Input on the Remote, tv will only allow me to choose "z" or AV and not HDMI???? Thank you.”

Try this: Press Menu > go to Settings > Set Auto Input Sensing to Off and in Input Labels you can add a label to an input source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, when you press the input button on the TV remote, the TV senses if anything is connected to the TV inputs. The TV will only allow you to select an input option that has a connection to the TV. For example, if you have an Apple TV device, or a DVD player or anything that uses HDMI, connect that to the HDM input on the TV and press the input button on the TV remote. The TV should give you the option to select HDMI at that point. Hope this helps.
