I am about to buy a set of these for my PC and saw your question. I hope this helps since you asked a week ago I fear I'm too late. I am an amateur video producer for an online gaming company where I make training videos for the game and do voice overs. These speakers are for playback so will work for playing your presentation once it's completed. But for recording you need to have a microphone. If your PC does not have a built in one then you can purchase a separate microphone which you can plug into your microphone/earphone jack or there are some which are connected via USB. My PC, a laptop, has a built in mic but It is omni directional which means it picks up everything in the environment including the cooling fan and other noises, so I purchased a studio Mic for my recordings. Since you are asking about recording I assume you will need to purchase one. There are very inexpensive ones but the quality of the sound is usually lacking. There are some which are better quality and some that require a power source, which can have even better sound. the better one usually start any where from reasonable prices like $30 to expensive like $130 or more. I found a $30 for myself that works just fine. Here are some examples of what you should look for: Insignia™ - USB Microphone https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-usb-microphone/6328951.p?skuId=6328951 Blue Microphones - Yeti USB Multi-Pattern Electret Condenser Microphone https://www.bestbuy.com/site/blue-microphones-yeti-usb-multi-pattern-electret-condenser-microphone/5963805.p?skuId=5963805 I hope this information isn't too late.
