“I have this soundbar connected to an Insignia 55inch 4K Fire tv using an optical cable. Watching cable, the sound works fine but when I switch to using the built in Fire tv, sometimes there is no sound on Netflix or Prime? Is this an issue with the bar?”

Hi, DubyaGee. When using this type of connection for soundbars, it is important to check the settings on the secret menus for each app. there you can adjust the audio presets to pass the audio through the Optical cord and not the TV Speakers. Cesar G. - Insignia Support
