“Can this fridge be transported on its side or does it need to always be standing up straight?”

• In my research the manufacturer said it can be transported on its side, however, you must let it sit upright for 24hrs to let the freon fluids settle before plugging the unit in. I didn't test the theory, as I transported it home, upright, in my Toyota RAV4.
