This TV can be as a computer monitor either using the computer's VGA port, HDMI port, or DVI port (using a DVI to HDMI converter cable). I have personally tested using the HDMI port on my computer and this TV works fine (note: you may need to adjust the aspect ratio via the TV or via your computer's video card software if display is not centered on screen correctly). For me the connection worked fine but I do strongly prefer IPS tyoe display planel for a computer monitor (this TV is not IPS type display panel hence viewing angles are meager).
