Is the power plug a traditional type that sticks out or flat allowing for the wine fridge to be pushed back closer to the wall?

It is traditional plug. The fridge requires a couple inches of air flow on all sides so you can't even push it as close to the wall as a traditional plug allows, let alone a flat plug. If you want something then can be right up against the wall, you'll need to look for a built in model.

Hello Rzarna, I hope you are well. The connection to the power outlet is a traditional type. Also, please keep in mind the distance the unit has to be from any wall. Please refer to the users manual.
