I did I just let it sit upright for 36 hours before plugging it in.

Please try again later.While it is not optimal to do this, and you do lay it down, once you get the unit home, you should stand it upright and let it "settle" a few hours before plugging in and using. I am not a refrigerator specialist, but just giving you this info from experience camping and my personal experiences. I also had to lay mine down to transport, and left it upright for a few days before plugging it in. it is working fine. you can/may want to verify with your salesperson as well.
