The Amazon smart feature is just an added program inside the TV that allows you to use all the screaming platforms like Amazon prime, hulu, youtube, YouTube tv, HBO max, Netflix, Etc without the use an external box, but you can use your regular cable provider as well without missing on the other. You only have to change the input with a remote
