You can plug in any HDMI device (such as a cable box, game console, Blu‑ray player, streaming stick, or PC) and use the TV normally without relying on the internet. However, during the very first setup, the TV does require an internet connection to complete the initial Fire TV activation. After that, you can continue using HDMI without connecting to Wi‑Fi.
