Will this work with an iPhone 7 to connect to tv null

It would need an adaptor, as the iPnone has no mini hdmi connector

Do I need any apps to be downloaded in order for this cable to work

No, I bought it for my camera and the connection is not for any iPhone.

I don't think so as the connector is USB-C and not lightning.

I'm not sure it would work with an iPhone to stream to a TV... granted I've never tried. But I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work.
