“I got rid of my cable DVR box but still have cable via coax. Question can this be used to convert the input coax signal from the wall to the HDMI cable from the tv? I basically want to take the input via coax cable and hook it up to my HDMI on my tv.”

Hi! for this you can use an adapter that allows you to connect a coaxial cable to it, and then an HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV.
